Founded by Rachel Van Brussel, VAN BRUSSEL is an Australian-made fashion label born from a commitment to slow fashion and thoughtful design. After studying and working within the industry, nationally and internationally, Rachel created her namesake label to celebrate garments made locally from designer deadstock and ethically sourced fabrics. Each piece reflects her belief that clothing should carry both integrity and artistry, designed to be worn, cherished, and reimagined across time and identity.

My creative response to Melbourne Made draws inspiration from Mr Simon’s fearless exploration of form and his ability to find beauty in simplicity. This project is an ode to Melbourne’s design culture, a dialogue between minimalism and boldness, reinterpreted through VAN BRUSSEL’s lens of sustainability and unisex design.
