Is the founder of the inclusive and sustainablly minded design and manufacturing studio Creation Collective Co in Collingwood, Melbourne. She believes in the cogency of the sustainability movement. She is a champion of both the cause and providing support to those at the root of the industry:- the designers themselves. Creation Collective provides information on ethical fashion practices through each stage of the production process, from the choice of fibre content to the bespoke trim outlined in design development. Creation Collective Co nurtures quality over quantity, as well as minimising the environmental impact of its business.

With over 25 years in the industry, Julie holds a Master’s in Fashion and Entrepreneurship from RMIT and has taught sustainable fashion at the degree level. As both an artisan maker and advocate for local fashion, she is deeply committed to nurturing Melbourne’s independent fashion scene through collaboration, connection and mentorship.
