As a ladies’ tailor specialising in the perfect trouser fit, I have to say that the story of Mr Simon driving around town with a bevy of pantsuit-clad models until he found somewhere that would let them in really struck a chord with me. Apart from remembering that there was a time when women weren’t allowed to wear trousers in public, the larrikin showman in him made me chuckle, and a good pant always makes me smile. Whatever I put on the Makers Lane Runway, there will be trousers!
